Guarulhos is the second largest city in Sao Paulo state in Brazil. It has a large population.
In the days of old, Guarulhos was known for its gold mining. Most of the inhabitants of Guarulhos were occupied in gold mining. It formed nearly half the population’s occupation. Guarulhos is not just famous for its gold mining, it also boasts of being the home of the famous Mamonas Assassinas, a satirical/pop rock band in the 1990’s.
One of the main Brazilian international airports is also located in Guarulhos, infact it is the 37th busiest airport in the world!
